Together again 💚🐆 Today afternoon, a 2 month old leopard cub that had fallen in an open well was successfully rescued. However, our job was far from over. After stabilizing the cub and conducting an on-site medical examination we found the cub to be physically fit. This rescue operation quickly turned into a reunion mission. Our team scanned the location for probable passing routes of the mother leopard. In the evening, not even 20 minutes after the set up was done, the mother leopard with her other cub arrived, a family reunion. In the span of just 8 hours we rescued and reunited the leopard cub with its mother ❤️ We are thankful for the prompt response of villagers in coordinating this operation. International Vulture awareness day! Rescue, Rehabilitation, Ringing and research of Egyptian vulture. We received a call regarding an Egyptian Vulture in Trimbakeshwar taluka, near Pegalwadi village. The Vulture was struggling to fly and was severely dehydrated and weak. Nashik Forest Department officials along with our Eco Echo team sprung into action to rescue the hapless raptor. We brought the bird to our Facility and we stabilised it for 12 hours. The next day the vulture was given the necessary medications and a proper diet. We rehabilitated the Egyptian vulture for 10 days under our care until it gained its energy and was ready to fly again. We ringed the vulture 3 days before the release with the help of @ncs_nashik NCSN and BNHS @bombaynaturalhistorysociety We are proud to say that we successfully rescued, rehabilitated and released our first ever Egyptian Vulture and are happy to know it is soaring high in the sky now.
